Arnulfo Díaz Cortés is a community leader with over a decade of experience serving the migrant community between the United States and Mexico. A father of four and proud grandfather of four, he has built his life on family values, Catholic-Christian faith, and a deep sense of social responsibility. As a Master Mason of the California Lodge, he has championed and kept alive the essence of philanthropy, promoting support for others, ethics, and humanitarian commitment as fundamental principles of his work. His vision has always been clear: to build strong bridges between the United States and Mexico, connecting communities through culture, civic engagement, and solidarity.
Between 2014 and 2026, Arnulfo distinguished himself as an organizer and volunteer in numerous community initiatives, leading non-profit donations and providing support to volunteers and government firefighters in the United States, which have benefited various regions of Mexico. It has also promoted free cultural events, community work, and binational campaigns to encourage voter registration in both countries, strengthening the civic rights of migrants.
During the 2021–2022 period, at the height of the pandemic, Arnulfo organized and actively participated in the Migrant Political Forums, held at various educational institutions and cities: – Michoacan University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo (Morelia) – Pátzcuaro, Michoacán – León, Guanajuato – Autonomous University of Querétaro – National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) These binational forums promoted the political rights of migrants to vote and be elected in both the United States and Mexico, solidifying his leadership as an advocate for the political participation of the Mexican diaspora. Professionally, Arnulfo works as a Sales Agent at Shiff Cargo / Patrón Envíos, a company dedicated to shipping packages throughout Mexico, where he has been employed in various periods between 2014–2016 and 2025– 2028. Since 2018, he has been the Binational President of L.A. Casa Morelia, a non-profit organization that serves as a support, meeting, and advocacy space for the migrant community. Additionally, since 2017, he has been the Binational President of Latino Migrants of California, fostering social, cultural, and political alliances in both countries. He has been chosen as Advisor to the Secretary of Migrant Affairs of the Government of the State of Michoacán for the years 2026-2028, contributing his experience and vision to strengthen the rights, policies, and programs aimed at Mexican nationals abroad. His academic background includes high school studies in Mexico.
In the political arena, he has participated as a candidate for Federal Deputy representing migrants and as a candidate for City Councilor representing migrants (2022–2025), reaffirming his commitment to the representation and rights of Mexicans abroad. Arnulfo is also a member and honorary political advisor of the Chicano Latino Immigrant Democratic Club of Los Angeles County (2024–2026), and founder of the CLIDC Democratic Clubs in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Francisco counties (2015). He spearheaded the Sister Cities initiative between Sacramento, the capital of California, and Morelia, the capital of Michoacán, which was finalized in 2025. His work has received widespread recognition from the Morelia City Council, the Government of the State of Michoacán, the Senate of the Republic—especially Senator José Narro Céspedes—as well as from senators, congressmen, mayors, and council members of the State of California between 2014 and 2025.
The life and career of Arnulfo Díaz Cortés represent a legacy of commitment, leadership, and binational unity. His mission has always been the same: to serve, connect, and transform through the community.
